Downloading Made Easy!

Note: When people are new to downloading, they often fear that they will "screw something up." Not to worry!

We recommend that you print out this page, and follow the directions carefully. If something doesn't work, just re-read the directions slowly and try again.

The screen shots and directions below are for readers using WinXP and the unzipping software that comes with it. If you're using an earlier version of Windows, or a different operating system or browser, your screens and process will be slightly different but the principles remain the same.

After our shopping cart successfully processes your credit card payment,  you'll be taken directly to your personal download page.

If you don't manage to download your eBook and/or audio files successfully right away, don't panic. You are welcome to email our Support Desk with your question. But start here first!

In a nutshell, here's what to do....

1. Find the automatic email from us with the Subject Line that says: "Downloading your digital product...."

Inside that email is a URL that you can use to return to your personal download page. Note that it is only valid for 24 hours.

If you don't receive this email within an hour, please email our Support Desk.

2. Download the ZIPPED folder and SAVE it onto your own computer desktop.

3. UNZIP the folder to reveal all 5 documents in the ID Theft package (your eBook and 4 bonuses). Save them onto your desktop too.

4. Double-click on each of the files to open them. Now you can read on-screen or print each file.

MORE ABOUT UNZIPPING

Your "I'm Not Afraid of Identity Theft" package is a collection of 5 PDF (Portable Document Format) files:

  • Identity Theft eBook.PDF

  • Identity Theft Risk Calculator.PDF

  • Identity Theft Awareness Quiz.PDF

  • Identity Theft Tool Kit.PDF

  • Identity Theft Sample Letters.PDF

PDF files make it possible for anyone to read the documents, on any computer ... even if they don't have the same software we used to create them.

To make downloading faster for you, we have compressed these five files (reduced them in size) and then gathered them together into a single folder ... called a ZIP folder.

We've called that folder NoLongerAfraidOfIdentityTheft.ZIP

What this means to you is that you'll only need to complete a single download, to get all 5 files.

To "unzip" your ZIP folder ― and get access to all five files ― you'll need some Unzipping software.

If you use Windows XP:

If you use Windows XP, you have a free unzipping feature built right into Windows. You'll recognize a zipped folder because it has a zipper icon on it.

You open a zipped folder exactly the same way you open any folder in Windows: just double-click on it.

If you use an earlier version of Windows (Win98, Windows 2000, Windows ME):

Unzip your files with WinZip (the most widely used Unzipping tool for PC users). You can download a free 21-day trial. Look for the tutorial under the WinZip Help menu to guide you through the unzipping process.

If you're on a Mac:

Use Stuffit Expander for Mac (excellent, and it's free)

1. Download your ZIP folder

As soon as your credit card or PayPal payment is processed successfully (or, if you click the URL in your email "Downloading your digital product..."), you'll see a screen similar to the one below....

  • Use your RIGHT mouse button to click the DOWNLOAD NOW link.

Now you'll see a menu similar to this....

  • Click Save Target As...

Next you'll see a screen similar to this....

  • Click the DESKTOP icon (on the left) to save the ZIP folder onto your desktop. Then click SAVE.

On a high speed connection, this will download in a few seconds. If you're on dialup, it may take 30 minutes or more. Don't interrupt it!

When the download is complete, you'll see a screen similar to this:

Good work! You have just saved the ZIP folder onto your desktop. Now it's time to open that folder.

  • Click the OPEN button.

2. Extract and Save your 5 PDF files

You can now see all 5 PDF (Portable Document Format) files that are stored within that ZIP folder.

The next step is to "extract" your files from that ZIP folder and store them safely onto your hard drive.

  • Click EXTRACT ALL FILES.

You'll now see the Windows XP Extraction Wizard.

  • Click NEXT and then follow the prompts in the Extraction Wizard.

Next, you'll see "Select a Destination"....

If you're new to unzipping, we recommend you again choose to save the files to your Desktop.

  • Click BROWSE. Then click DESKTOP. Then click OKAY. Then click NEXT. Then FINISH.

Congratulations! You have successfully saved your 5 PDF files onto your own computer. You can now safely delete the ZIP folder. You won't need it any more.

3. Open and enjoy your Stopping Identity Theft eBook and Bonuses!

To open each PDF file, just double-click it. If you have any trouble opening the file or see any strange error messages you probably need to update your copy of the FREE Adobe Reader software.

You'll find a link for it here ... Troubleshooting and Error Messages
